Photographic Art
I am experimenting with art based on my photographs with and emphasis on solid colour and simple shapes. Those who know the work of the late British artist Sir Terry Frost will see a definite influence particularly his print work. He of course drew by hand whereas I am taking my photographs and using computer software tracing shapes and filling in colours.
Sometimes I take pictures knowing I can work them into this style but there are others thast I only spot the opportunity later.
I have printed three of these images at Precision Imaging at A3 on Xpression Smooth 300gsm 100% acid-free paper and they are on sale at Nook Gallery in Kings Heath for £45 each. I’ve printed Aldeburgh, Selly Oak and Ullswater.
